A short update for all our friends

This site has been pretty dormant since my Alaska paddle last year. Sorry about that.

Julie and I spent five days in the Ten Thousand Islands on the north end of the Everglades over New Years and then we spent the spring break week paddling Pine Island on the Gulf Coast with friends. We also spent a couple of weekends white water paddling North Carolina. All of these were lots of fun for sure. I did not do any paddle posts/pictures for those paddles since they were pretty short. In hind sight, maybe I was just being lazy. I’ll do better going forward.

Julie is done teaching for the next two months so we have planned several great paddling adventures. I’ll post links to the paddle tracks right before each one. The first is on the island of Kefalonia in Greece. The link to the tracks is up and running so standby. This paddle trip will be the deluxe one since we’ll be staying in B&Bs every night and eating out at local restaurants. We’ll be paddling with Marco (travelinkayak.com) so are guaranteed to have a fantastic time. I paddled with Marco in Italy last year and he provides the best experience. I expect to be able to do Paddle Posts every night since we should have internet access. Lots of pictures will be included.

I will keep you wondering about the follow-on adventures so stay tuned. One hint, I don’t expect to be able to do Paddle Posts every night due to the remote locations. We’ll create posts after the fact like I did for Alaska.

Happy Paddling

Scott
