It was a pleasure to meet you today and take you to the store for provisions for the next leg of your journey. May you continue on your journey and make those dreams come true. The adventurer that you are inspires some of us to paddle a bit longer each time out on the water. Be safe and may we meet up again.

We met Scott today at 3 Sisters Springs. My wife and I are volunteers at the Crystal River Wildlife Refuge. There were several manatees hanging out outside the springs. Safe travels.

Paddle tracks shows you went to a couple of springs including about an hour at Three Sisters. I assume you spent time with the 'submarine' mammals! I also see that the resort has a webcam. Maybe I'll see you paddle by. http://www.plantationoncrystalriver.com/rivercam.htm

If you didn't notice it on your way into your destination, on your way out of Crystal River, the first big bay on your left as you head out is another location where the manatees gather. It is Kings Spring and I scuba dived there. And snorkeled both there and at Three Sisters.
Terry Terry wrote on December 4, 2016 at 23:11
Leroy is absolutely right! You are too close to not visit the Three Sisters area. On your Paddle Tracks map, you can see that the day the photo was taken, the area was crowded with boats and kayaks of those wanting to see the manatees.
Leroy Harmon Leroy Harmon wrote on December 4, 2016 at 16:16
Be sure and ask where the Manatees are gathering (probably at three sisters spring), not far. Well worth your time as you go out, or this afternoon. They hole up in there by the dozens. People come from all over and pay for boats to take them. Be a shame to be right at them and miss seeing them.
